Infrared coagulation is a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure used to remove internal hemorrhoids. Infrared coagulation of hemorrhoids obstructs the blood-flow to the hemorrhoid. Without a blood supply, the hemorrhoid shrinks and falls off by itself in only few days after the procedure is performed.

Benefits of IRC:

  • Noninvasive
  • Relatively painless
  • Fewer side effects and associated risk compared to other surgical techniques
  • Quick recovery period

Conditions Treated

Infrared coagulation of hemorrhoids is usually done for small to medium internal hemorrhoids.
